LoopLab ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the LoopLab mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information
Your name, email address, and a bcrypt-hashed password when you register — or your name and email from Google/Apple if you sign in with them.

Platform OAuth Tokens
Access and refresh tokens when you connect Spotify, YouTube Music, Google, or Apple Sign-In. We never store your platform passwords.
Token only
Usage & Preferences
Playlists you generate, songs you create, and in-app preferences such as mood and instrument selections.

AI-Generated Audio
Songs generated by ElevenLabs are uploaded to Cloudinary and linked to your account.

Voice Input
If you use voice input, audio is processed in real-time by Google Gemini for transcription only. We do not store your audio recordings.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the LoopLab service
  • Authenticate you via email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple
  • Generate AI playlists and songs personalized to your preferences
  • Sync playlists to your connected Spotify or YouTube Music account
  • Display your saved songs and playlists within your profile
  • Enable the Discover feed where you can share playlists publicly
  • Send service-related communications (account updates, policy changes)

LoopLab relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy which we encourage you to review.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Data is shared only with the services listed above as strictly necessary to provide LoopLab's features.

If you make a playlist public in the Discover section, other LoopLab users can view it. You can set any playlist to private or delete it at any time from your Profile tab.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including bcrypt password hashing, JWT authentication, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and encrypted storage for platform OAuth tokens on your device. While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time — either through the in-app account deletion flow (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

LoopLab is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Disconnect Spotify, YouTube Music, Google, or Apple at any time
Make any playlist private or delete it
Request a copy of your data (data portability)

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at support@getlooplab.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
